Dr Catherine Sablé

 

Dr Cathy Sablé is a Senior Lecturer at Telecom Bretagne. She was educated in France (DESS formation de formateurs en FLE Paris, Sorbonne Nouvelle (MA in Teacher Training - French as a Foreign Language), CAPES lettres modernes (MA Modern Languages), where she completed her PhD in Didactics for French as a Foreign Language and Intercultural Studies. She has extensive experience in education, and has worked as a teacher and teacher-trainer of French in many countries such as Germany, Taiwan, France… . Her current post involves setting up French courses for engineering students from 50 countries and helping to manage a team of French teachers. Her research interests include intercultural learning – searching for a way to use literature to develop an awareness of what is called “ Le Divers” (E. Glissant), multilinguism and self assessment in Intercultural Communication and she has published in this field. Since she arrived at Telecom Bretagne in September 2008, her research fields include multimedia and its multiple pedagogical possibilities and she is applying her insights to work on the European EMA4 project, an E-learning product.
