Telecom Bretagne's Summer School combines a French Language course, intercultural workshops and visits. The classes are taught in small multicultural groups from all over the world (more than 20 nationalities). During the 5 daily hours of classes with French native-speaker teachers, students are encouraged to participate, using role-play, games and multimedia.
Students can take advantage of our impressive seaside Brest campus with activities including all sorts of water sports and rock climbing. They will also have the opportunity to discover Western France’s most beautiful historical sites.

Students are encouraged to visit Paris on their own just before or after their stay in Brest. The students will be provided with the information for affordable accommodation in a well-located international housing center and useful hints for visiting the most attractive spots in the French capital.

Language requirements
- English: Ability to attend lectures and communicate. The level must be equivalent to:
- B2 (European scale: A1-A2-B1-B2-C1-C2)
- TOEFL: 70/120 (Internet-based test) 525/677 (Paper-based test)
- IELTS: 5.5/9
- TOEIC: 650/990
- French: No requirement (groups of different levels, including beginners)
Fees and accommodation
Fees are 1500€ including on-campus accommodation, food, visits and insurance.
Discounts can be made for students coming from Telecom Bretagne's partners.
The International Office can arrange students' pick-up at Brest’s Airport or at the train station.

Important information for Master of Engineering ("Diplôme d'ingénieur") and Master of Science incoming students
Even though some classes are similar, this "Managing a Multicultural World" Summer School programme is not aimed at incoming international students enrolled in our Master of Science or Master of Engineering programmes.
Students who are going to stay at Telecom Bretagne from September will be provided with the relevant information regarding the intensive French Language course organized at the same time. Therefore they must not send us this Summer School application form.
