More than 350 PhD degrees have been granted at Telecom Bretagne since it was created. Each year offers some 30 subjects supervised by one of the 9 departments :

- Electronic Engineering
- Foreign Languages and Culture
- Image and Information Processing
- Logics in Uses, Social Sciences and Information Science
- Microwaves
- Networks and Multimedia Services
- Optics
- Signals and Communications
Almost half of the 200 PhD students are from foreign countries. They mainly come from North Africa, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Middle East.
