"Informatique" (INF)

Software is present in all domains of society. This concerns both large systems (telecommunications or the banking sector, for example) and everyday objects such as mobile phones or credit cards.

We can find:

  • “Critical” software : for the management of nuclear centres or automatic flight navigation …
  • Corporate information systems software: used by large companies for billing, or for customer information base management …
  • Software linked with Internet networks : distance payment systems, electronic voting systems, collaborative work systems …

Software engineering combines the techniques and methods needed for the specification, development and maintenance of software.

The general course in software engineering at Telecom Bretagne centres on computer systems engineering.

Credits are related to Units ("Unité de Valeur, UV") which are made up of one or more modules.
