Christian Roux, agrégé de sciences physiques (1978), ancien élève de l’ENS Cachan, a obtenu un doctorat de l’INP de Grenoble (1980) et une Habilitation à diriger des recherches à l’Université de Rennes I (1990). Christian Roux, Associate of Physical Sciences (1978), a former student of ENS Cachan, obtained his PhD from INP Grenoble (1980) and Accreditation to supervise research at the University of Rennes I (1990). Il rejoint le département Image et traitement de l’information de Télécom Bretagne en 1982 et fonde, en 2001, le Laboratoire de traitement de l’information médicale, unité mixte Inserm 650. He joined the Image and information processing department at Telecom Bretagne in 1982 and founded in 2001, the Laboratory of Medical Information Processing, INSERM UMR 650. Il devient directeur scientifique adjoint (2006) puis directeur scientifique de Télécom Bretagne (2009). He became vice scientific director (2006) and then scientific director of Telecom Bretagne (2009). Son domaine de recherche concerne le traitement avancé de l’image et de l’information et il a développé un vaste secteur applicatif en médecine et en biologie. His research domain concerns the processing of advanced images and information and has developed into a wide field of applications in medicine and biology. Il est l’auteur d’environ 150 articles originaux et titulaire de neuf brevets. He is the author of some 150 original papers and holds nine patents.

Prix de la recherche fondamentale de l’Inserm Inserm Award for fundamental research
Christian Roux a été chargé de mission à la direction de la Technologie du ministère de la Recherche sur le secteur des technologies pour la santé (2004-2005), et a créé et dirigé les programmes TecSan, ÉmergenceTEC et AAL de l’ANR (2006-2008). Christian Roux was given responsibility for a project by the Ministry of  Research concerning the technology sector for health (2004-2005), and created and directed programs TecSan, ÉmergenceTEC and AAL ANR (2006 -2008). Christian Roux est Fellow de l’IEEE et de l’IAMBE. Christian Roux is a Fellow of the IEEE and the IAMB. Il a reçu le prix de la recherche fondamentale de l’Inserm en 2006. He received the award for fundamental research from INSERM in 2006.

Christian Roux a été professeur à l’Institut universitaire de technologie de Caracas (Venezuela), Distinguished International Research Fellow à l’Université de Calgary (Canada), Visiting Professor à l’Université de Pennsylvanie à Philaldelphie (USA) membre de l’Editorial Board de plusieurs revues internationales (IEEE TMI, IEEE TITB, Proceedings of the IEEE) et président de la société savante IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology. Christian Roux has been a professor at the Technical University of Caracas (Venezuela), Distinguished International Research Fellow at the University of Calgary (Canada), Visiting Professor at the University of Pennsylvania  in Philaldelphia (USA) Member of the editorial board of several international journals (IEEE TMI, IEEE TITB, Proceedings of the IEEE) and president of the learned society, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology.
