Télécom Bretagne is offering three short courses, between now and the end of 2010, in the field of video transmission: Television transmission (4 and 5 October), Techniques of video compression and MPEG H264 norms (from 11 to 13 October) and IPTV : services, technology et network architecture (16 and 17 November). These courses, which are addressed to employees in firms, will be held on the Rennes campus of Télécom Bretagne.

All you need to know about terrestrial and cell phone digital transmission TNT/Satellite: DVB/Mediaflo/DTMB/DAB.

Video compression techniques and MPEG H264 norms
Understanding the video formats and the digital video compression techniques (MPEG4 AVC/H264). Which format for which application? Comparison between MPEG4 and other video compression techniques (VP8 VC1 AVS).

IPTV : services, technology and network architecture
All you need to know about video transmission methods on internet: The video formats, the transmission techniques, network architecture for targeted services. Review of video formats and transport layers (TS, RTP, http streaming…), description of network architecture for video services (3G , LTE, TISPAN, IMS CDN, P2P…).
