1000 researchers talk of the future

The photographer Pierre Maraval has assembled photos of one thousand researchers from all aspects of French scientific research. Each one has given a short phrase to express their vision of the future. This mosaic of faces and words was projected onto the walls of the Panthéon in Paris, during the 19th Fête de la science, from 21st to 24th October 2010.

Among the 11 researchers selected from Institut Télécom, 3 researchers from Télécom Bretagne, Claude Berrou, Christian Roux and Cathy Sablé took part.

Claude Berrou, professeur of electronics : “Information, the driving force of life and progress.”

Christian Roux, researcher in medical imaging: “Vision, Information, Action : digital clarity.”

Cathy Sablé, researcher in didactics of languages and cultures : “Building a world of human telecommunications.”
